Packing a cage for holiday.

Hey all,

Question, what are the options on having your metal cage in your suit case for a flight.

If anyone has any experience with travelling with one any information you can share would be great.

Tha is in advance.

I've traveled with cages in checked in and hand luggage. I came back from New York recently and found a leaflet in my checked in case saying that the security at JFK opened and looked in my case. I had one in there, but that one was plastic. Not sure how I would have reacted if they opened the case in front of me and saw it.

As long as you can cope with the looks if they search the bag in front of you, you should be fine taking the cage, even a metal one in the case.

Cheers Kevin that information is really useful. I think a plastic one may be a way to go.

TSA staff see all kinds of crazy stuff. If it's not a potential weapon, they're not interested.

While I strongly advocate against exposing innocent people who haven't consented to personal kinks, TSA staff, by the very nature of their job, have consented to being exposed to items of a personal nature.

You shouldn't have a problem.

Related:

If you're flying outside of the U.S. with other BDSM type of items in particular like impact toys, ropes or restraints; it would probably be wise to review the country's stance on BDSM activities prior to traveling. Such items may be viewed out of context and subject you to further scrutiny.

I've had it in the checked bag several times.  TSA did a bag inspect once (they leave a card inside the bag).  Embarrassing when I first saw it.  In reality, they've probably seen it all before.   There is nothing about a metal chasity cage that violates TSA and airline rules.

I haven't traveled internationally with it so a random customs search might be more embarrassing than anything.

No worries - especially if going to kink crazed UK.  Carried my cage(s) there on several trips and have had no issues entering the UK or when coming back into the States (Global Entry status is great!).
Go-4-it!
