My method for forgetting the combination

Like some of you out there my mind remembers digits like crazy. So here's what I came up with to forget it and so far it's been successful:

I use a 4 digit realtors box, however I use an 8 digit code. I add the first two digits together and use the result. If it's over 10, I disregard the digit in the tens position.

For example 88321883 = 6 5 9 1

The key is doing this one digit at a time. Doing the math helps me forget what I did for the previous digit and I cover the combination with my free hand as I go so my brain never get the full combination.

It's possible that this only works for me, but hopefully it helps some of you too. There is some possibility of me messing part of it up, but I just make sure that each digit is correct before I move on. If I do mess up, well... I guess I had better get comfy with the idea of pleasing ladies in other ways

I've never pleased a lady with simple mathematics before! 

I tend to use the reload number thing over and over memorising every one, and then use a code that doesn't have 2 numbers the same.

you  can also use a little wooden box with many ring hook like this one

and put any number lock


it's up to you to increase the difficulty by adding lock 

(max 8 except joint lock)
