How to forget the combination

Alternative view on this , you are self locking so you're locked because you want to be but you want the inability to unlock to reinforce the fantasy of being under external control or prevent lapses of self control.

Solution is to use a kitchen safe timer you can reset it several times as needed if it cannot have time added as its running and apart for the few seconds to reset the timer as needed those pesky keys are out of easy reach and your fantasy of lack of control is a reality or your self control only has to last long enough to rest the safe timer.

If you want a DIY option one of the cheap timer padlocks and screw top plastic container work well, drill a hole through the closed tub so its through both lid and the tub wall on each side  (or one side and a hole in the lids top) and run the padlock cable through both holes to prevent it being unscrewed).

For those with will power to spare the timer can be used for temporary unlocked cleaning too.

Here's an easy method I have started using... once the random numbers are flashing, I enter as many of those into the combination lock as I can. Just reading and speaking the numbers is ineffective, but manually entering them into the combo lock works a treat for me.

I know that some people are good with numbers and will remember them. If you are limited to a 4 digit combination lock, get a 2nd or even 3rd lock. Go through the process of setting the combination on each of the locks and pick one at random. It might be harder to remember the combination of the 1st lock by the time the 3rd lock is set.

They sell group lockout boxes for utility work. If someone turns off the power, they put a lock on the box to prevent other people from turning the power back on. If someone else comes along and needs to work on the power, they add a lock so the first person won't turn the power back on when they finish. If you have a lock that uses a key and a series of combination locks, use the lock with the key for the chastity or bondage and put the key in a box with multiple combination locks. You would need to unlock all of the combinations to get the key out.

Definitely the best thing is to get yourself to see as many numbers/digits in other things as soon as possible after setting it. Playing Sudoku, go through your phone number list on your phone, then leave it be. Your brain is designed to remove unnecessary information so masking that initial information and then putting it aside should help it fall out of your mind after a few days. Good luck!

It is easy to forget a number if you know how the brain works.

Your short term memory is just that: SHORT TERM. It throws away all the crap that you need not remember for the future before it move the remaining stuff to longer term storage. The idea of what I describe here is to prevent the code from being transferred to long term memory.

It filters by INTEREST. If you pass a car and see its number plate, it will not be remembered. But if the number on the plate was CHASTE 1 - I bet the lot of you would remember.

First point of forgetting: Make no fuzz. Handle the number as little as possible. Do not attempt to memorize, that starts the process of transferring the number to longer term storage.

Next, you get some numbers from the app that you need to transfer to the safe's code. Handle the number as little as you can. Write down the numbers backward. Again: Do not memorize them. Repeat random numbers in your head while you move to the safe. Reverse the numbers again while you input them to your safe. Right after inputting them, start thinking of random numbers. Watch the app screen with the flashing numbers intently - and speak out all the numbers you see as they appear. CONSENTRATE! And destroy the note completely.

Second point of forgetting: Leave nothing to be remembered.

By the end of the minute it is highly unlikely that you will remember the number. You are safely locked in and ready for a ride on the chastity train.

My 5 cent worth of advice. Works for me!

Use multiple locks to lengthen the combination.  Buy a 4-pack of 3-digit luggage locks and find/make a container that can accept all 4 locks.  Then you have a 12-digit combination.

I solved this by purchasing a rather cheap digital safe, able to set kodes that har 4-8 digits long. Problem is that not easy to bring along, so then use a emergency key with a seal, locking the key in a tube. Or seal it in an envelope. Off course the keyholder should know about the emergency system and verify that it have not been tampered with. So a bit planning need to be done if one is to be long gone and release is before getting back home. The use the emergency key and reseal it for the next run perhaps.

I, too, am one of these people who memorizes long strings of numbers without even trying or meaning to, so I have trouble forgetting the combination.  Including license plates.  The only thing stopping me from doing it now is that the task of driving gets first dibs on my attention.

I set 12 digit combination and start at 0-0-0-0. By feel, I apply the first digit to the first position,  the second to the second, the third to the third, the fourth to the fourth, the fifth to the fourth, the sixth to the third, the seventh to the second, the eighth to the first, the ninth to the first, the tenth to the second, the eleventh to the third, and the twelfth to the fourth. Then I  leave the setting mode without looking and scramble the numbers.
