I think having an option to beg your keyholderfor release would be a neat idea. I’ve only played with the bots, so it’s more toward bot thinking although it could work with human keyholders.

The idea being when you’re feeling super done and you still have time left, you can hit the ‘beg’ button (with no limit) to have a chance to be let go.  There could be a slim chance to be let go, a bigger chance to have more time added, and also a margin to have nothing happen.

Just seems to add a little bit of excitement, especially if there wasn’t a limit on how often you could beg...that could easily be your downfall.

If there was no limit there would be no risk as no matter how many times time was added you can spam beg until you win and that added time never mattered.

A better method would be the option is blocked until twice the added time has passed.

Cool idea! Here’s how I would implement it.

Basically I would make a formula that looked at how long you’ve been locked up for and compare it to the estimated original length of the lock.  If you’re barely into the lock the ‘beg’ is highly likely to just be ignored.  If you’re close to the end of the estimated time or we’ll over it the beg MAY be listened to.  The nice bots would either unlock, ignore, or have a slim chance of punishing by freezing for a time.  The mean bots would have a high chance of punishment, a normal chance to ignore and a very slim chance to unlock.

In shared locks the beg function wouldn’t really have a use other than letting the keyholder know the lockee wants to be let out.
