How do you guys navigate cleaning timeouts with the app?
« on: April 17, 2020, 09:31:30 PM »
I was wondering how you guys give yourself cleaning timeouts with the app? Or do you have to do an early release and then start a new lock again?

Thank you for being so helpful everyone! Thanks for helping me with my many questions! <3

The app doesn't have a feature like that built in to it on it's own.  I find that I can keep my stainless steel cage clean with minimal effort, but the old plastic one I used was a problem if I wore it for any length of time, I just used short locks.

I also had a Keyholder for a while that told me to keep my spare key out, but not to use it without permission.  She wanted me to be able to unlock to clean or to edge and lock right back up.  It largely depends on how much you or your KeyHolder thust you.

I was wondering the same. I am relatively new with Chastikey, especially with Human keyholders.

First, we talked about the spare key, not only for cleaning (our first lock was consent to be maxed to 3 days), but also for emergencies.
Trust helped.

With the second lock, I remembered plastic locks (those with the numbers on it), and so locked the spare key into a small box. I'll open it for cleaning only after permission from my keyholder. Takes quite some plastic locks for longer periods though, depending on the opening frequency you need.

So far, we are only at the start. I estimated a cleaning opening might be necessary every 2 to 3 days for my holytrainer nub. We will see. :)

IMHO if one wants to be locked 24/7/365ish without being let out at all and keys locked 100% in then get a Mature Metal Jailbird or another chastity device that is open enough to clean without taking the device off.

If you do not have a device that helps you clean without taking the device off then you have two options IMHO.
1. Either run shorter locks with your keyholder. They need to release you or you get released because of fixed time or getting all green cards. Then get key, take off device, clean yourself up and then lock yourself back into the device. Then start a new Chastity lock session with your keyholder.
2. Use a honor system where you have at least one key available. The keyholder is the boss and gives you permission to clean or have set up a schedule like when you shower take off, clean yourself and device then lock up. The lockee needs to follow the rules about not touching for any kind of pleasure and only clean yourself.

The honor system works for some, for others the shorter locks works the best. And if none works and want to be kept locked without being let our for cleaning get a proper device that lets you clean good enough without taking the device off at all.

I'm hoping to get cleaning options in before the end of Q3 this year.

I have found something called The Kitchen Safe. Its a timed plastic "safe." It only opens at the end of a count down. The time can be 1 min to 1 sec less than 10 days. Being a mechanic I found it kind of easy to get into without damaging it, so I got a bucket,  sealed the holes in a way to allow the locks to engage, and then sank the safe into cement with a temp lid on it (not the real lid) till in began to harden. Then I cleared the rim so the real lid fit down in hole to engage the safe. So now the safe is encased in cement and the only way to get into it is to destroy it all. A final failsafe for me.
So now my main safe has two sets of reset-able combinations and a pair of master keys. The keys to the main safe go into the kitchen safe and I usually set it between 1 and 3 days depending on my  expected activities and temperatures I will be in. So when it releases I do my health and hygiene then. Reset the timer on the kitchen safe, and lock the main safe keys back in the kitchen safe.
Then I lock myself back up and go about my day.

Hey Kevin,

Just checking to see if we can still expect the cleaning/hygiene options anytime soon? It’s been a while since you made the comment
