Integration with Cellmate

Hey! So I’m aware that there’s some new replacement apps being developed and I wanted to toss an idea out there. I think it would be cool if there was a way to combine the app (specifically the variable locks) with Cellmate so that the Cellmate will unlock when the variable lock does. I have no idea how anyone would go about doing this, it’s just an idea I wanted to share haha.

Thumps up… imagine cell mate being connected to a “real app” and not that Chinese cr*p. That would be so awesome

I heard about a guy in a cellmate that some hacker allegedly took control of his unit and was blackmailing him for some ungodly sum if he ever wanted to be unlocked again...

At least with more traditional locks we can have security backups, does the cellmate offer any such thing? I mean things like a spare key locked away somewhere else, an override key to unlock your safe, and so on.

 

I somewhat doubt that story. If you paid a hacker to unlock the cell-mate, you are not very enlightened.

There are several ways to get out: The device has a metal ring, but the rest is made from some plastic. Just bend the tube part up until the connection with the metal ring breaks, and you are free (after sliding your "package" out of the ring). It sure breaks the device, but that is no big issue. Paying for a new Cellmate sure beats paying blackmail money - and sure is cheaper too.

I will leave it to the techies to figure out the ways to force an unlock of the device, in order not to ruin anyone's fun.

Last option is to contact QIUI - yes they are in China - but they all lock data is stored in their database, so they can clear the lock status. I believe they reset all the locks when this problem happened.
