Fixed lock with Chase

Back on July 11th, I created a Fixed lock with Chase as a test to see how mean he would be. It was only a test and there wasn't any need to get out. I don't remember the exact duration, but I think it was to last between 1 and 2 weeks.

The lock is now on day 78 and has 97 days left until it unlocks. I believe he has reset the lock two times and add an average of 1-3 days to the lock per 24 hour period. I don't see how the lock will ever end unless Chase randomly decides to unlock it.

My recommendation is to avoid using any of the Bots for a lock unless you are willing to pay to unlock it. Maybe with the cards, there would be a chance of drawing the green cards to get out, but with a fixed lock, it isn't going to happen.

I have been tempted to delete the lock, but have kept it running out of curiosity to see how it plays out.

Sometimes it's a good idea to bring these things up earlier so that I can look into it.

I've looked into it now, and can see why fixed locks might be getting stuck in an endless loop of resets. I've put in a possible fix. If your lock no longer resets then it's fixed.

I did a lock with Chase as a test. It started out at about 5 days. The first few days, he froze the lock, unfroze it, froze it again, added a few hours, reset the lock. Then after that, he started adding a day to the lock every 20-30 hours. It is now on day 20 with 35 days left. I am not sure it will ever end unless he randomly unlocks it. I am glad this was only a test. I don't mind a few surprises, but to have a lock go 4x longer than initially set is crazy when you can't have any discussion with the keyholder.

I hadn't used the app in a while and decided to see what had changed.

I did a fixed lock with Chase as a test. I think I gave it between 5-10 days as the min/max range, but at this point, I am not really sure. When it started it showed it would be locked around 6 days.

The first few days, Chase froze the lock, unfroze it, froze it again, added a few hours, reset the lock.

Then after three of four days, he started adding a day to the lock every 20-30 hours.

The past several days, he has been adding 2-3 days at a time.

It is now on day 20 with 35 days left.

I am not sure it will ever end unless he randomly unlocks it. I am glad this was only a test. I don't mind a few surprises, but to have a lock go 4x longer than initially set is crazy when you can't have any discussion with the keyholder.

I am now on day 33 with 64 days left. The lock has only been reset one time and that was around 20 days ago.

I have been letting the lock run and it is now day 172 with 250 days 0 hours 10 minutes 0 seconds until it unlocks.

Send the lock ID and I'll have a look

Please could you also look at my lock as seems to be in the same situation as the OP

@Key535i Do you want me to trigger an unlock? I can see it's a test lock, so maybe you're not actually locked. If not then you can delete it. I won't be able to spend much time for a while to see why it's ran for so long. There's no need to keep it running as I can look at it later, even after it has been deleted.
