6 hour frequency

I'm very aware of the massive amount of time you put into Chastikey, many thanks.
One observation I have is about the average duration of a lock and the frequency choices available.
My gut feel is that most of the lovely perverts who use chastikey like to be locked up for between 2 and 10 days. I'm sure you could run a query to see what the real figure is.
If you want to set a lock for anything over 4 days you have to choose daily frequency, this means one chance per day, possibly only 10 cards shown, which is a bit limiting.
If there was a 6 hour frequency you could easily design locks to last up to 16 days with 4 chances per day, so more fun, and easier to manage. If you're like me, and only uncover cards in the morning when in bed, you'd get 4 chances each morning, more expectation, more fun.
I know that the odds are dependent on the proportions of each colour card, so the chance of a green is the same for daily and 6 hourly, it's just 4 chances per day is more fun, and hourly locks are limited to 96 cards or 4 days, which can be too short if your (un) lucky.
I have no idea how complex his would be to implement, or if others like the idea of a 6 hour frequency.

It's easy enough to add more units of time, but the problem the current design has is space for a 4th button with text on it. And as soon as I add a 6 hour one someone will want a 3 hour one, and a 12 hour one.

To add more I could possibly replace the buttons with a slider because then you can have 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2, 5, or 8 etc.

A drop down menu would make sense but I haven't got around to programming a drop down in ChastiKey yet. It was written in a game engine with no UI elements so I'll have to create one. That in itself isn't a biggie. Just haven't got around to it yet.

Maybe an easier way to satisfy users like the OP would be to change the frequency to a slider like some of the other options. Then anyone could just slide to make the frequency anything from 0.25 - weekly (on the nuts side of things).

A slider would be fantastic, 1/4 hour through to 24 hour, if that's possible.

That would be awesome. However, you can create almost the same scenarios/results with hourly locks...

Try converting the 6 hour chance in 1 hour chance (multiplying by 6) and add a few yellow/blue cards to compensate.

Also, making the lock as non cumulative might help!

I've actually thought 4 and 6 hourly intervals would be an interesting frequency.
Not sure if it is easier to choose your unit (minutes, hours, days?) then have a slider for the amount.
Days with a hidden timer would make long term locks really interesting.
